Parking Information

If you are coming from the west, take the Taylor Road exit off of Highway 6/US 278. You will need to go across the bridge to your left at the top of the ramp, which requires going around not one but two traffic circles. You will then proceed north, going around one more traffic circle on your way to the top of the hill, passing the baseball field on your right. Make a left onto University Avenue at the T-intersection at the top of the hill.

If you are coming from the east, you can get off Highway 6/US 278 at Lamar Avenue and head north to the traffic light at University Avenue, where you will make a left and follow University Avenue on to campus.

If you are driving an individual vehicle, you will need to go to the University Welcome Center on University Avenue. It is a small hut between the Thad Cochran Center and the Grove, marked on the maps below as the red "W." There you can purchase a visitor pass, which is $2 for one day. You can then park in the parking lots of the Music Building, which is marked on the maps below with a blue "M." The Music Building has two parking lots, one off of University Place/Taylor Road, and the other off of University Avenue. There is also a student parking lot at the base of the hill behind the building, and a commuter lot across University Place/Taylor Road from the building. Your visitor pass allows you to park in any marked legal space in these lots.

If you are driving a bus, you can unload the bus in the circle drive in front of the Band Hall end of the Music Building. The circle drive is located at the easternmost end of the building, and you enter off of University Avenue. The bus will then need to be parked in the South Lot, which is a park-and-ride lot off of Taylor Road, south of the campus traffic circle (but not south of Highway 6). This lot is marked on the maps below with a red "B."

The first map is less cluttered and shows highways and roads in Oxford. The second map offers more detail regarding campus.
